Hi! Thanks for asking ❤ I’m taking some liberties here since you didn’t specified and I’m answering for both TOS and XI. I’m sorry for any English fail and how long it took me, the light went out in my house for a little while ._.
Star Trek TOS
- M/F OTP: Scotty/Uhura. They just click together and they’re so incredibly cute and happy and perfect I just can’t not ship it.
- M/M OTP: Kirk/Spock, because c’mon. They literally complete each other. They cannot be without the other, you can’t define one without the other because it just doesn’t make sense. Also, subtext sometimes hits you in the face and knocks you out hard but so good, their eye-fucking is legendary and all.the.inappropiate.and.utterly.unnecessary.touching. and Amok Time.
- F/F OTP: I don’t think I can find one that I like. Chapel/Uhura interactions are great and I love them both, but in a platonic kind of way.
- OT3: Kirk/Spock/McCoy. Obviously. SPACE HUSBANDS. LIKE, FOR REAL. Seriously. You just have to watch the movies and slash goggles or not, they’re all so married with each other, literally attached at the hip that is ridiculous and hyperglycemic.
- BROTP: Kirk/Scotty. Their shared love for their lady Enterprise gets me every time.
- Favorite Canon: KIRK/SPOCK. There is a word, specially created for their relationship. T’hy’la. Friends. Brothers. Lovers.
- Favorite Crack: crack? Please. You don’t need crack in TOS. It fills you right up. Although maybe Scotty/Enterprise? On second thought, yes, definitely, but I don’t think it’s even crack. It’s canon!
- Guilty Pleasure: I may or may not ship Kirk/McCoy a little, you know, on their own lonesome without Spock but then I remember Spock and how much he deserves them both and I’m like omg baby I’m sorry here have them back.
- Pairing I dislike/don’t understand: Spock/McCoy. Please don’t hate me? I’m not blind, I can see it’s totally there but it just doesn’t seem right for me, like there’s always something amiss in their relationship, something that can save them both from their own demons and hey, it’s not my fault the only one who can do that is Kirk. I just want them all to be happy.
Star Trek XI
- M/F OTP: Sarek/Amanda. The way Sarek tells Spock what Amanda would say, so sure of himself, so sure of the love of his life and how much he knows her, it’s just—*goes off for tissues*
and shut up Amanda is not dead okay she’s trapped in the transporter. - M/M OTP: Kirk/McCoy owns my soul and I’m not even kidding. The way they both need and depend on each other so much takes my breath away. My burning and everlasting love for this ship goes across universes and it forces me to ship them wherever I see Chris and/or Karl and their characters making the slightest of sense together (William Cooper/FDR y/y?). I regret nothing.
- F/F OTP: Gaila/Uhura. They were roommates and Gaila is BAMF enough to manage to get in those pants and you know she is~.
- OT3: Kirk/McCoy/Spock. I know, big surprise here. I’m still thinking how to make it work because I like thinking Bones would be so pissed off after Spock marooned Jim in Delta Vega he wouldn’t forgive Spock easily, but I’m sure Jim would make it work somehow. He’s awesome like that and there’s even a wee bit of Kirk/Spock to work on (yes, I’m talking about the Spock, it’ll work scene and the perfectly synchronized steps when they walked into the bridge together).
- BROTP: Kirk/Sulu. They’re hilarious together and the way Kirk just throws himself off the drill after Sulu with no hesitation whatsoever melts my heart.
- Favorite Canon: I may or may not like Jim as an abused child a tad too much because ugh, the angst and the fact he still manages to be one hell of a Captain (if Acting one) and they gave him the Enterprise and *squeaks, flails, drops dead*. I’d say my favorite canon is Jim Kirk.
- Favorite Crack: Pike/Kirk fatherly relationship. And shut up, it’s not crack okay, it’s canon
at least in my head. - Guilty Pleasure: Nothing makes me feel guilty about this fandom. Nothing.
- Pairing I dislike/don’t understand: Spock/Uhura. At first I hated it with a passion, but now I can see how it could work (also, poor baby Spock can’t be left alone after losing his home world, but he can share with Bones y/y?). And I guess if you squint really, really hard there is some ground in TOS for it, but I just don’t like it.
